Join us for a faith-based fun weekend with all the work done for you! Experience one of the most riveting Bible stories of the Old Testament as it comes to life with magnificent sets, special effects and live animals! Productions at Sight & Sound theater are spectacular. Here’s a trailer about their Esther show: https://www.sight-sound.com/ticketing/shows/title?location=lancaster. We have great seats reserved right in the center of the lower section so you can see all the action around us!
In addition to the show on Saturday evening, the tour will include:
• It’s a long ride to Lancaster (9 hours) … but getting there is part of the fun. Our deluxe motorcoach is so comfortable with contouring seats, air vents you can adjust, and a restroom on board … we will have movies, games (with prizes, of course) and plenty of stops for your comfort. Meals on the road will be on your own, and you will have several selections to choose from.
• On Friday afternoon, we will visit the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville/Stoystown, PA. You will have the opportunity to visit the Visitors Center, the Learning Center, the trailheads and the Flight Path Walkway & Overlook. This national park is just a few miles off our route and is honoring to those lost on 9/11.
• We will arrive in Lancaster, PA (the third largest Amish community in the US) and spend two nights at the Bird In Hand Inn. Our rooms will each have TWO QUEEN beds. The property has indoor & outdoor pools, a gift shop and lots of places to stroll (but we will have limited free time). Each morning, a full hot buffet breakfast is included.
• On Saturday morning, we’ll get a firsthand look at the Amish community with our step on guide. We will take a ride through the community with quick stops at a quilt shop, an Amish farm and a unique roadside stand. About lunch time, guests will have free time at the Kettle Kitchen Village. This is a quaint, walkable village for a little shopping, some unique craftsmen and you can grab a bite to eat. https://www.kitchenkettle.com/our-village/the-shops.asp. We’ll head back to the hotel to refresh and rest up for our HUGE smorgasbord dinner with all the Amish favorites – chicken, beef, ham, mashed potatoes, homemade noodles and pies! YUM! And then our chariot will deliver us to the front door of Sight & Sound.
• On Sunday, we will enjoy a relaxing ride back – with fun things on the motorcoach and maybe some quiet time for napping or reading. Again, plenty of stops to refresh, grab a bite to each and stretch.
• INCLUDED: Deluxe transportation, stop at Flight 93, two nights of accommodations, guided tour of Lancaster, ticket to Queen Esther at Sight & Sound, two full breakfasts, and dinner on Saturday. Plus, a hostess that will provide you with all the info you need as we travel together.
